Biden indicated that more assistance would be available in the future.

“The United States, our allies, and partners are fully committed towards surging weapons of aid to the Ukrainians and we will continue to source more equipment that we can transfer,” he stated.

The White House sought to highlight the assistance that it has provided to Ukraine with over 600 Stinger antis-aircraft systems and 2,600 Javelin-anti-armor systems. 200 grenade launchers/munitions, 200 shotguns and two hundred machine guns. Nearly 40 million rounds were also available in small arms ammunition.

Biden signed Tuesday’s funding bill that included $13.6 Billion in military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. This was in addition of the $1.2 Billion the U.S. had already provided to Ukraine’s military forces. The U.S. also provided humanitarian assistance in the form of nearly $300 Million in the last few weeks.

According to two congressional representatives briefed on this matter, the U.S. might also provide Ukraine U.S.-made killing drones — advanced guided missiles that can accurately target Russian tanks from far away.

In addition to military equipment, the U.S. airlifted emergency relief supplies to staging areas in the region. These included high-temperature blankets, water treatment apparatus, soap, and safe drinking water.

As the war enters it’s fourth week, Russia escalates its assault on Kyiv. Vitali Klitschko, Mayor of Kyiv, imposed Tuesday a 35-hour curfew after Russian missile attacks destroyed apartment buildings and caused death.
