Outages or mainly Apple outages are quite rare. That’s why this came as a shocker for their customers. They always expect the best experience from Apple services.

Ironically, it wasn’t Apple alone that faced complaints. There were some customer complaints about Amazon and Google web services too. However, it was less compared to Apple. Speaking of Apple shares, the numbers changed a bit to $163.95. These values are taken as of 1:39 pm NYC time.

Apple Outage on 22 March

After 21 March, Apple continued to face outages on 22 March, i.e., Tuesday. The main concern on Tuesday was related to Apple music, mobile app store, Podcasts, Mac App Store, Apple Books, iCloud Web apps, Weather, and Apple card users.

However, services that did not face issues on Tuesday included iMessage, iCloud, Apple tv, and Apple Maps. On Monday, around 11 services of Apple were affected by the outage.

There were claims that Apple music worked for some users, but not for others. Besides, many users faced issues with downloading or updating the applications from the App store. On downloading, they encountered the progress circle that spun continuously. After some time, it displayed the download or update button, denoting the glitch.

As per Downdetector, as many as a thousand people reported problems with both Apple music and the store on Tuesday. However, the situation soon subsided, and various people were able to access the services.

Apple Services are Now Resumed!

After two days of outage, Apple has now confirmed that their services are resumed. This means users are able to employ their services without facing any glitches. As of 23 March, i.e., Wednesday, the Downdetector user report indicates that there are no current issues at the App store.

The 2-day Apple outage faced by customers was surely one of the most widespread and longest outages in many years! In fact, it also affected Apple’s own retail and internal corporate networks. So, yes, it wasn’t the general public alone! The down servers impacted their own products sales and office work too.

DNS problem, the reason behind this outage usually occurs when the server does not get connected to an IP address. DNS failures are one of the most common causes of a temporary server outage.
