Android Group Chats Now Have End-to End Encryption

GROUP CHATS can be chaotic enough without unwanted guests poking around. It’s possible for GROUP CHATS to be chaotic enough without unwanted participants. Google has launched a beta program that allows users of the Messages app for Android to sign-up to encrypt their group chats.

Google launched the beta in May. Chats within Messages will display lock icons next to their chat bubble for Android users who are participating. End to end encryption is available in Google’s Messengers app for messages between individuals. However, once the beta test is completed, full encryption will be available for group chats.
