Amber Heard’s Petition To Be Removed From Aquaman
A fan petition is ongoing to have Amber Heard, Mera’s actress, removed from Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom in the wake of Johnny Depp’s high-profile defamation suit.
The petition to remove Amber Heard and the Lost Kingdom has received 4 million signatures.
At the time of writing, the Change.org petition had 4,000,130 signatures and is growing steadily. In just 11 days, the movement has gained an additional million followers since the third milestone of 3,000,000 signatures on May 3, 2022. The petition asks Warner Bros. for Mera to be replaced by Amber Heard in the second live-action Aquaman film. It cites Johnny Depp’s $50m defamation suit that exposed the actress as a domestic. Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment must immediately remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2, as she is a well-known and proven domestic abuser. The petition states that they must not ignore the suffering of Heard’s victims and should not glorify a domestic abuser.
