After Oscars Slap, Will Smith’s Netflix Movie is on the Backburner

Smith has Apple+’s slave escape drama Emancipation now in post-production. Although the streamer had intended to debut in 2022, it has not yet released its data. Apple declined to comment. Other than that, Bad Boys4at Sony was in active development. Smith received 40 pages from the script before the Oscars. But, Smith will now pause, according to a source. Some other projects are in pre-production will likely do the same. Netflix has not responded to our requests for comment.

Smith stated that change takes time. He resigned from the Academy on April 1, declaring his resignation.
