After One Season, Netflix Cancels “1899”

“1899” will not be receiving a second season on Netflix. Baran bo Odar, a series creator, confirmed the news in a statement posted to his official Instagram. Jantje Freise, Odar’s series co-creator, also signed the letter.

Odar wrote, “With a heavy soul we have to inform you that ‘1899″ will not be renewed.” We would love to have finished this amazing journey with a second or third season, as we did with Dark. But sometimes things don’t go according to plan. That’s life.”
