Adele: ‘Brutal’ Backlash Following Las Vegas Relocation

Adele spoke out about the “brutal” backlash and guilt that she experienced after she decided to postpone her Las Vegas residency. She said she was “a shell of someone” during the months that followed.

The singer spoke out in an interview with BBC Radio 4. She stated that although she stood by her decision to cancel her January-April stay at the Colosseum Palace Caesars Palace, the aftermath of the cancellation was heartbreaking.
She said that she felt the disappointment of everyone and was devastated.

Adele posted on Instagram in January just 24 hours before opening the residency. She told her followers she could not cancel the weekend shows that fans had purchased tickets for.
 
She cried, “I’m so sorry. My show ain’t ready.”

She said that she was so sorry and explained that delivery delays and covid had caused the production team to be devastated.
