Adele: ‘Brutal’ Backlash Following Las Vegas Relocation

She spoke to BBC and said that the two are still friends and she approached their separation with grace.

The star answered questions about the backlash over her weight loss and the interest in her. She said that exercising regularly helped her stay focused and gave her a way to deal with her mental health. Although she acknowledged that she felt “betrayed” by her slimmer body, she said it was something she did for herself.

Lauren Laverne asked her about her feelings. She said she felt bad for people who felt that other people’s comments meant they were not beautiful or looked good. She also explained that comments accusing her, Lauren Laverne of being too thin, didn’t bother her.

She said, “You don’t hold my hand at night at 4. am when I’m feeling anxious and needing to be distracted.”
