Will Smith Apologizes To Chris For Slapping Him At Oscars

After Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith, Smith slapped Rock. Smith then returned to his Dolby Theatre seat and shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out your f g mouth!”

Smith apologized hours after the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences issued a statement stating that it ” condemned the actions of Mr. Smith last night.”

It stated that “We have started a formal investigation around the incident” and would explore further actions and consequences in accordance to our bylaws and standards of conduct.
