‘We Lost a Young Legend’: Hip-hop Mourns Migos Rapper Takeoff Amid Manhunt for Suspect

Megan Ryte is a hip-hop DJ based in New York. She said that the Migos sound had “influenced” many artists.

Ryte said that “they changed the game.” “They changed hip-hop. Their flow and the triplet flow… Some people refer to it as The Migos flow, or sometimes the Versace flow.”

They collaborated with some of the most prominent stars in music and were well-known for hits such as “Motorsport” featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B and “Bad and Boujee”, featuring Lil Uzi Vert. Each rapper has also released their own albums.

Offset, who is currently married to Cardi B, a hip-hop singer, left the group in early 2018. After he was shot, he changed his Instagram profile photo to one of Takeoff.

Greg Street, an Atlanta-based hip hop DJ, stated that Takeoff was “the reserved” member of the group but that he was also “extremely talented” so “you can see his influence throughout the Migos discography.

Street stated that Street believed they were heading for greater things due to their success. “You know that success is more if you are grounded and rooted. You understand how to make moves.

Quavo and Takeoff released a joint album, “Only Built for Infinity Links”, last month. A clip of Takeoff’s interview on Revolt TV’s program “Drink Champs” about the project went viral shortly after his death.

N.O.R.E. host said, “Of course you were shining before but you were dancing here… it was your turn.” Takeoff spoke to him in an interview last month.

“It’s the right time to pop it. It’s time for me to receive my flowers. Takeoff stated, “I don’t want them when they ain’t there.”
