In recent years, many others have also photographed and filmed this location

National Park Trust advocates for the U.S. National Park System and encourages stewardship to future generations.

Joshua Tree is the Californian one. The combination of mountains and flatland makes it a beautiful backdrop for rainbows. Other options include Badlands National Park, South Dakota, with 244,000 acres, and Big Bend National Park, Texas, with a 30-mile view from the automobile of rivers and valleys. And, of course, there’s the Grand Canyon, where rainbows are “fairly common occurrences.”

One Twitter user @windestainedlens claimed that she has taken rainbows at Bridalveil and Horsetail Fall, Wildcat Fall and Ribbon Fall in Yosemite’s river canyon.

She said that it is all about knowing the best place to be for the right light angle.

The NPS reported that Yosemite National Park was the 21st most popular national park in the U.S.A in 2021, with approximately 3.3 million visitors. Blue Ridge Parkway and Great Smoky Mountains National Park were the top three parks with approximately 15.9 million, 14.1 million, and 13.7 million visitors respectively.

Yosemite Conservancy announced on June 2 that it would provide over $14 million for the protection and preservation of the park. This includes donor support for initiatives to understand the threats to giant sequoias and plans to encourage and promote bicycle use.

Park officials stated that biologists are currently protecting and studying a variety of species. They include Yosemite butterflies, monarch butterflies and Sierra Nevada bighorn sheep.

Over 700 projects funded by conservancies have contributed to the preservation of natural and cultural resources. These include the protection and restoration of Yosemite Falls and the restoration of hundreds upon miles of trails.

A clip of Yosemite mountain climbing became viral earlier this year due to their climb and footage of them sleeping in tents high up on the mountainside.

After going missing, a well-known participant in an ultramarathon was found dead at Yosemite.
