Toby Keith Shares His Stomach Cancer Diagnosis and Receives ‘Chemoradiation and Surgery’

Fox News Digital reached out to Keith‘s representatives in order for them to comment.

The Ohio State Fair reported that Keith’s July 28 performance had been cancelled following his announcement.

Within minutes of his posts going live, the “Red Solo Cup” singer had accumulated thousands of likes.

John Rich of Big & Rich wrote, “Hang in there,” with a thumbs-up emoji. The long-standing musician was supported by the sports world, including Troy Aikman, a legendary quarterback, and Chris Frederick, a professional soccer player.

Keith is a long-standing advocate for families with cancer diagnosis and helped to found Ally’s House, a non-profit organization that helps Oklahoma children and their families.

The charity was named after Allison Webb (the two-year old daughter of Keith’s former band member Scott Webb and Lisa Webb). Allison Webb died of kidney cancer in 2003, just before her third birthday.

He followed in the footsteps Ally’s House and established the Toby Keith Foundation to encourage the happiness and health of children with cancer in 2006.

The foundation’s mission statement stated that OK Kids Korral was opened in 2014 as a cost-free, convenient, and comfortable home for children undergoing treatment at The Children’s Hospital of OU Medical Center, Stephenson Cancer Center, and other nearby facilities.

There is no greater gift than keeping families together in difficult times. We can make a difference in fighting cancer by helping to alleviate stress, support a sister or brother, and comforting a sick child.
