According to the report from statistics from the United Nations, 3.8 million and still counting Ukraine citizens have fled from the country. Majority of which has migrated to Poland and other neighboring countries. Around 6.5 million have migrated within the country. Also, there is going to be great migration in the coming days.

The Actual Data of Ukraine Migration

The Ukraine citizens are helpless and fed up with staying in bomb shelters and moving to safe places. So, a constant international migration is taking place via trains. These trains are taking refugees to the borders.The refugees can stay with their relatives or friends in neighboring countries. 

Also, there are refugee shelters provided by the neighboring countries’ Governments. Ukrainians don’t need official documents, but they can prove helpful. Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova are major countries welcoming refugees.

The actual number of refugees in the neighboring countries are:

  • Poland has taken in 2,144,244 refugees

  • Moldova 371,104

The UN says that some individuals have crossed from Moldova to Romania and are included in both countries’ totals. Apart from this, many countries like England are coming forward to help the refugees. Governments are setting reception desks, emergency visas, providing food, shelter, and medical checkup for the refugees.

James Elder, the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) spokesperson, said that 55 children are moving out of their homes in Ukraine every minute. Over the past 20 days, more than 70,000 children have become refugees in foreign lands. 

The US Pledges to Bring in the Ukrainians

The US has been very active in the war, taking measures to stop this atrocity. Apart from this, President Joe Biden joined an emergency meeting of European allies and promised that they would be more than happy to welcome 100,000 Ukrainians.

Not only as refugees but Ukrainian can be allowed through parole and immigrant and non-immigrant visas also. They will have protected status, and America is helping with monetary aid and the refugee intake program. On a humanitarian basis, the USA is initiating and will escalate immigration immediately. Also, authorities will provide help desks, camps, proper food, and medical aid.

Recent Refugee Statistics

Eighty-four million people were forcibly displaced from their homes in 2021 globally. The reasons are war, political unrest, and others. It’s a whopping number, and the major countries are the Syrian Arab Republic, Venezuela, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Myanmar, etc.

Let’s hope the refugees find a new home in new countries and the refugee cultures settle, and peace wins.
