The Next IPad Pro Could Feature A Connector Like No Other Apple Device

Everyone who was annoyed by Lightning’s replacement of 30-pin and then by USB-C’s replacement of Lightning is now in bad news. Apple will once again unveil a new connector port for its next iPad Pro models.

According to the latest report by the Japanese website Macotakara citing an unnamed “reliable source in China”, both the 11-inch as well as the 12.9-inch Pros will have the same chassis design, but with 4-pin connectors at the top and bottom edges. It is possible that some nuance was lost in translation but it seems that Apple is altering the 3-pin Smart Connector for the iPad Pro.
