Taylor Swift Wins VMAs Video of The Year Award, Announces Surprise Album

Since then, she has been re-recording all her music into Taylor’s Version albums.

“This is a collection of music composed in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors as well as sweet dreams. We pace the floors and face the demons. All of us who have turned and tossed, and decided to keep the lanterns on and go looking – in the hope that we might meet ourselves at twelve o’clock.

In just minutes, she had amassed thousands of likes on almost every social platform.

She spoke to the crowd on Sunday night: “I am so encouraged by the fact that for the first-ever time in VMA history four directors were nominated for video of the Year.” “I’m proud of the work that I did.”

She also mentioned “All Too Well,” which is a 10-minute-long video. “We wouldn’t have been able to make this film if we weren’t for you, our fans. Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to rerecord my albums. I was inspired by you to do it.”

Swift’s focus has been on re-recording old albums after she released back-to-back Grammy Award-winning indie classics “Folkore”, and “Evermore” respectively in 2020 and 2021.

After Scooter Braun acquired her master recordings, she reportedly parted ways from Big Machine Records. She then sold them off for over $300 million, almost three years ago.
