“Stranger Things” is Over, But There Is A Spinoff in The Works

Upside Down Pictures is part Netflix’s ongoing agreement with Matt and Ross Duffer.

They stated in a statement that they want to create stories that “embody the ordinary with the extraordinary, where intimate character work and big spectacle coexist, and where heart triumphs over cynicism.”

In February, the Duffers hinted at the spinoff news when they announced that the next season of “Stranger Things” would be the last season.

They stated that there were still exciting stories in the world of “Stranger Things” at the time. “New mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes.”

It’s not surprising that Netflix is investing more money in “Stranger Things.” The company’s most English-language TV series, its latest season, has been viewed 1.15 billion times in its first 28 days. This is especially important for Netflix 2022 as Netflix’s stock dropped 70% and lost subscribers during the first quarter.

Upside Down Pictures has other projects, including a series that is based on Stephen King’s 1984 fantasy novel “The Talisman”. Hilary Leavitt is the company’s founder, having created hits such as “Ozark,” and “Orphan Black.”
