Staten Island Workers Vote For Amazon’s First Union Here In The U.S.

According to the National Labor Relations Board, 67 ballots are still being contested. However, this is not enough to alter the outcome.

Christopher Smalls, president and CEO of the Amazon Labor Union said that he was happy to share the experience with the workers he organized since Day One. After he had helped to organize a strike at JFK8 on Staten Island, demanding better safety and health protections, Smalls was fired by Amazon in 2020.
