Showtime Cancels “The First Lady” After One Season

Showtime decided not to move forward with the second season of its anthology series The First Lady. This decision comes just six weeks after the series’ Season 1 finale.

A Showtime spokesperson confirmed that “The First Lady” the anthology series will not continue with another season. Variety. “We are grateful for the dedication and artistry of our showrunner Cathy Schulman and director Susanne Bier and their co-executive producers. We also applaud our cast, which includes executive producer Viola Davis and Michelle Pfeiffer.
