MrBeast Is a YouTube Star Who Helps 1,000 Blind People with Cataract Surgery Sponsorships

This refers to cataract removal surgery

CNN’s Levenson shared with CNN how he was inspired to help others access cataract surgery after having his own cataract surgery.

He said, “In the days and week following my own cataract surgery I was shocked by how bright, beautiful, and vivid the entire world was.” “But I was stunned by the thought that hundreds of millions, possibly 200 million, are blinded or almost blind due to cataracts, and don’t have the opportunity to get the surgery.

In September, Levenson received a call from Donaldson’s team. He said, “I’d never heard of MrBeast.” “So I almost hung up. “But I was grateful that I didn’t hang up.”

To start, they called homeless shelters and clinics to build a list of people in Jacksonville who needed cataract surgery but couldn’t afford it. They eventually had 40 patients. Levenson performed all their surgeries in one day. He started at 7 a.m. and ended at 6 p.m.

Levenson stated that patients believed that someone would seek them out to save them from blindness and then offer them surgery.

Donaldson also connected Donaldson’s team to SE International, where he is the chief medical officer. The nonprofit offers free eyecare to those in need around the globe. Donaldson was able to reach more people through the organization, with a total of 1,000 eye surgeries in just three weeks. This video shows patients receiving surgery in Jamaica (Honduras), Honduras), Namibia, Mexico, Indonesia Brazil, Vietnam, Kenya, and Vietnam.

Levenson stated that he hopes Donaldson’s video and his generosity will inspire “a concerted effort for the end of needless blindness.”

He said, “If MrBeast can set a fire and if we get government and private support, we can end half the blindness in this world.” “Without any cost and with amazing gains in human productivity, human potential and human productivity.”
