Microsoft Hopes OpenAI Chatbot Makes Bing Smarter

According to an insider, Microsoft Corp. plans to add OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot into its Bing search engine to attract users from Google.

Microsoft believes that users will respond to queries more naturally and in context than links. This is according to a person who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the confidential product roadmaps still under development.

Redmond, Washington-based company could roll out the new feature over the next few months. However, it is still weighing the accuracy of the chatbot and how fast it can be integrated into the search engine, according to the person. The person said that the initial release might be limited to a small number of users.
