Meta is said to be making ‘Zuck Bucks’

Meta hasn’t completely distanced itself from blockchain products.

The company is also exploring the possibility of posting and sharing NFTs via Facebook. According to the FT memo, Meta plans to launch a pilot program in May to do just that. Soon after that, Meta will be testing allowing members to join Facebook groups based upon NFT ownership and another to mint NFTs. The FT previously covered the NFT plans of Meta for Facebook and Instagram. Zuckerberg also announced that NFTs will be available on Instagram.

Meta is also exploring the possibility of “social tokens” (or “reputation tokens”) that could be used as rewards for meaningful contributions to Facebook groups. Meta is also reportedly looking into traditional financial services, such as small-business loans.
