Meta is said to be making ‘Zuck Bucks’

Meta may not have abandoned its Diem cryptocurrency but it is still looking into financial products, according to a new Financial Times Report. According to reports, the parent company of Instagram and Facebook has some irons in their fire. Some employees have taken to calling virtual currency “Zuck Bucks.”

Zuck Bucks, named after Meta founder, chairman, and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is “unlikely to” be a cryptocurrency.

Meta plans to introduce in-app tokens that will be centrally managed by the company. This would be similar to those used in games apps like the Robux currency in the popular game Roblox,” according to the FT. Roblox is a huge business that sells Robux. Meta could attempt to replicate this success on its own platforms.
