Loretta Lynn, Daughter of a Coal Miner and Country Queen, Dies at 90

Loretta Lynn, the coal miner’s daughter, who was known for her gutsy lyrics, and down-home voice, has passed away. She was 90.

Lynn’s family stated in a statement that Lynn died Tuesday at home in Tennessee.

“Our dear mom Loretta Lynn passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning, October 4, at her home in Hurricane Mills,” read the statement.
