King Charles III arrives in large crowd at Buckingham Palace after Queen Elizabeth’s Death

A statement by the royal family stated that Royal Mourning would be observed by members of the Royal Family, Royal Household staff, and representatives of the Royal Household who are on official duties together with troops assigned to Ceremonial Duty.

Yesterday, the flags at royal residences were held half-masted and will continue to be so until Royal Mourning’s final day.

Also, guidance was given on how to place floral tributes.

Her husband, Prince Philip II, was the one who preceded Queen Elizabeth II in her death. He spent more than seventy years supporting her.

At 99 years old, the Duke of Edinburgh, Britain’s longest-serving consort died in April 2021. Elizabeth and Philip were married more than 70 years ago and had four children, Prince Charles, Princess Anne and Prince Andrew.

Elizabeth, the most traveled British head-of-state and longest-married British monarch, died in December 2007. She ruled longer than any monarch in British history and was a beloved and respected figure throughout her long reign. On February 6, 2022, she celebrated the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne with the Platinum Jubilee.
