Johnny Depp Is Now Dating His Lawyer after His Trial with Amber Heard
In the courtroom. Johnny Depp, Joelle Rich and Amber Heard are now dating three months after he was convicted of defamation.
News broke that Depp was in a relationship with Rich, an attorney who represented him during his 2020 lawsuit against The Sun. This broke when Us Weekly reported the couple was in a “serious” relationship after they began “discreetly dating” during Depp’s trial in April and May 2022.
Rich is Depp’s first public relationship after his divorce from Heard in 2017 after two years of marriage. Depp, who was also married to Lori Anne Wilson (makeup artist) from 1983 to 1985, has two children with Vanessa Paradis: Jack Depp and Lily Rose Depp. Depp and Paradis were together from 1998 to 2011. Depp spoke out about his reasons for not marrying Paradis in a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone. “I have never needed that piece of paper.” He said that marriage is truly from soul to soul and heart to heart. “You don’t need someone to tell you that you’re married. Relationships can be very difficult. It’s especially difficult in the racket I’m involved in, where you’re always away or they are away. It was not easy for her. It was not easy for me. It was not easy for the children.”
He said, “So, yeah. That’s the trajectory of your relationship. You play it out until it ends, one thing leads to another. It doesn’t matter why the relationship ends, it doesn’t mean you stop caring for the person. They are the mother of your children, so you will always be friends with them. It’s a good idea to make the most of it.
