Internet Debates over King Charles III’s Coronation Dates are a Slight to Prince Harry, Meghan and Others

“Charles selected his coronation date to avoid having to attend Archie’s 4th birthday. He is so selfish,” one-third commented, while another fourth suggested that it would “give Harry an excellent excuse not to attend.”

Another stated, “Charles is using Harry’s children for his spiteful and hateful PR game. Harry would be wise not to tell him about FU and his coronation! He and Meghan should throw Archie an amazing birthday party. A damn blowout!!!”

“So Charles’s coronation has been set for…Archie’s birthday. Someone else joked that he was here for the drama.

Others referred to him as “petty,” selfish, and “gross”.

However, many sided with King.

“The Sussex Squad reacts to the news in a way that would make you think it said, “King Charles Coronation Stomps Out Archie’s Birthday…Making It a candle on the wind ” a tweet by Charles.

Others noted that Harry had played in Santa Barbara polo matches on Archie’s birthday.

Someone said that Harry and Nutmeg were complaining about King Charles III Coronation occurring on Archie’s 4th birthday. “He was out all-day playing Polo on Archie’s 3rd Birthday, so he is hardly able to criticize anyone else.” “What a hypocrite!”

“Harry left Archie to play polo on his 3rd birthday. Another palace defender agreed. “The kid is irrelevant, as he doesn’t live in this country and won’t be a senior working Royal. The coronation of King Charles is a once-in-a-lifetime event.

To help the king understand his intentions, a third person used his grandfather’s experience to assist him. “My theory as a grandfather on why Charles III’s coronation takes place on 6 May is that this way Archie almost certainly gets to see him on his birthday. You can’t leave Grandpa off the Birthday List. This time, not. It’s your birthday in England. LOL. That would have been my idea.

Katie Nicholl, a royal expert, said that the date was “definitely not a snub,” and called it a “happy coincidence.”

She said, “Obviously, there is a lot of planning that goes into an important historical moment, such as the coronation. The royal calendar is full of anniversaries, and birthdays, and so I think this occasion is absolutely one where it’s a coincidence, and hopefully a happy coincidence.”

Although the Sussexes are expected at the event, it is not clear if they will attend.

Charles was automatically elevated to the throne after his mother, Queen Elizabeth 2, died Sept. 8. He will be crowned as per tradition several months after his accession.
