Google Thought It Was A Great Idea to Have Two Apps Called Meet

Google announced in June that it would integrate the Meet features into its Duo app. This transformation is now underway. Google isn’t actually removing the either app. Instead, Duo will be rebranded as Meet using the features of both apps. The meet will remain Meet.

Google is making progress with the merger between Duo and Meet. However, it may not be as elegantly as people might like. TechCrunch Google will rebrand Duo for iOS and Android as the Meet app. It also includes the video-centric logo. Many of Meet’s features had been migrated by the company. The old Meet app won’t be removed, but it will be rebranded to “Google Meet (original)”.
