Google Assistant Wins over Siri and Bixby in Comparison, but Alexa Cries in a Corner

MKBHD compared Google Assistant against Apple’s Siri and Samsung’s Bixby. Assistant won the comparison. There were also some interesting tidbits that went beyond the basics.

Bixby and Google Assistant had the best control over the device

These voice assistants can do general information, weather, and simple tasks, such as setting a timer. Siri, however, is unable to set more than one timer. They were able to interact with apps such as taking a photo or recording a voice and even start voice recordings. Bixby is able to integrate with many apps, which is a niche Samsung has sought to fill with its voice assistant. However, Google Assistant was not far behind, with the ability to search through your photos and start watching a Netflix TV show.

The loser through all of this, of course, the “colossal fail” also known by its Amazon Alexa name, was the loser in all this.

It’s partly because Alexa isn’t a native app on your smartphone. However, Alexa’s inability to find facts and inability to interact using apps makes it a sub-par option for a smartphone. You can also find random Amazon product advertisements.

On the other hand, your smart house might be able to influence which Assistant you would like. Google Assistant is the most popular, but you may want to use it if you have HomeKit or Alexa.
