Since the 49ers’ 2016 regular-season finale, which was played on January 1, 2017, Kaepernick has not taken an NFL snap. Kaepernick was a star under Jim Harbaugh. He went 25-14 as a starter and led the 49ers to the Super Bowl. After Harbaugh’s departure, Kaepernick struggled, finishing just 3-16 with Chip Kelly (2016) and Jim Tomsula (2015).

Kaepernick, who has been away from the NFL for five seasons, made it clear that his desire to return is strong.

You can also follow the story on Twitter about how Lockett and Kaepernick practice sessions. Kaepernick has been practicing his accuracy by throwing to his trainer over the past five years. Since he is serious about his return to the NFL, the 34 year-old decided it was time for a change at receiver. He took to Twitter to seek help.
