Colin Kaepernick’s Rocket Arm Is Shown In A New Video
What was it that Lockett found so remarkable about the former NFL quarterback? You can judge for yourself because Kaepernick posted a video of the throwing session on Twitter.
The 34-year old made several impressive throws in the 60-second video. It seems that Kaepernick’s arm strength has not diminished despite the fact that he hasn’t taken an NFL snap for more than five years.
Later in the workout, Kaepernick showed off his deep balls.
It’s easy for people to point out that Kaepernick throws against the air and doesn’t deal with any defenders. However, Lockett practices in similar situations all the time so if he believes Kaepernick still has it then it might be enough for an NFL team at least to consider giving him a call.
The Seahawks could be a good option, even though all the odds are against Kaepernick’s return. One, Kaepernick received a glowing review from one of their top receivers. Let’s not forget the Seahawks currently need a quarterback. It wouldn’t surprise if Pete Carroll speaks to Lockett to discuss his practice session with Kaepernick. Let’s not forget that the Seahawks were Kaepernick’s only contact team during his five-year absence from the NFL. This was after he had been effectively blackballed for kneeling for the national anthem.
