He also speaks about his father who was one of the Nazi German troops that attacked St Petersburg (then called Leningrad) during World War Two. He was a “broken” man who returned from war, full of pain and guilt over the wounds he had sustained in fighting.

He says, “The strength of the Russian people and their heart have always inspired me.” “This is why I hope you will allow me to tell you the truth about war in Ukraine.

He continues to state that this is an illegal war. The entire world condemned this senseless war as a crime. Your future, your life, and your limbs were all sacrificed.
