After a terrible car accident, Heche was taken to a Los Angeles hospital and later died.

The Los Angeles Fire Department stated that the single passenger vehicle in question hit and came to rest within a 738-square-foot two-story home. This caused structural compromise and set off fire before the arrival of the LAFD. According to the LAFD, it took 59 firefighters 65 minutes to reach, confine, and extinguish all flames within the structure. One female adult was also found in the vehicle and she has been taken by paramedics to an area hospital.

Her rep stated that Heche was stable but had suffered burns. However, her condition worsened after Aug 8. The rep revealed that she was now in a coma, and in “extremely critical condition.”

The rep said that Anne was in a critical condition and required mechanical ventilation. She also suffered from severe pulmonary injuries, which necessitated surgical intervention. She is currently in a coma and has not regained consciousness from the accident.

Heche’s family released a statement on Aug. 11 stating that Heche suffered from severe anoxic brain injuries and was not expected to survive.

The statement said that Anne had made it her decision to donate her organs many years. She is currently on life support to see if they are viable. Anne had a big heart and touched everyone with her generosity. She was more than her exceptional talent. She saw spreading kindness, joy, and acceptance as her life’s work. Her courage and honesty will be remembered, but her light will be missed.

ET is told by a source that Anne’s family and friends are devastated by her death. They are beyond devastated. They feel like they must be on the offensive while grieving the loss due to the negative media coverage surrounding the crash.

Heche won a Daytime Emmy Award in recognition of her role in Another World. Vicky Hudson and Marley Love were her roles. She was also awarded two Soap Opera Digest Awards for those roles.

Her other film credits include Last Summer and Return To Paradise. Heche was also praised for her role as a TV actress in Gracie’s Choice in 2004, which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actress for a Miniseries or Movie category. Her work in the Broadway play Twenty-First Century earned her a Tony Award nomination.

Heche was not new to the ET family. After her exit from Dancing With the Stars, she co-hosted Entertainment Tonight in October 2020. Heche shared her experiences on DDWTS while guest hosting ET.

She said, “It was] the hardest thing I think I’ve ever had to do, and I work hard.” “But, you know what? You can say yes to everything in life. Or you can say no. But, that’s not the point.

Heche was the mother of two children. Her 13-year-old son, Atlas, was born to actor James Tupper. They split in 2018. Heche shared Homer, her 20-year-old son, with Coleman Laffoon (to whom she was married for five years prior to their divorce in 2009).
