Amber Heard’s Advocates Demand a Verdict in Johnny Depp Defamation Court

Amber Heard filed a motion Friday asking that the verdict in the defamation case against her ex-husband Johnny Depp is thrown out, along with the $10.35million in damages awarded by the jury.

Heard’s lawyers argue that the verdict cannot be supported by evidence. Friday’s 43-page document also calls for “to investigate improper jury service.” It claims that public information suggests that a juror who was present during the trial was born in 1970 despite court officials listing their birth years as 1945.

Heard’s lawyers wrote that “this discrepancy raises questions whether Juror 15, actually received a summons to jury duty and was properly checked by the court for service on the jury.”
