New York Film Festival Announces Main Slate for Its 60th Edition

On Tuesday, the 60th New York Film Festival unveiled its main lineup of movies from established as upcoming directors. These included Triangle of Sadness by Ruben Ostlund, Cannes’ Palme d’Or Winner; Claire Denis’ Stars at Noon (tied Cannes Grand Prize), and Park Chan-wook’s Decision to Go (Cannes’ Best Director), and Charlotte Wells’ Aftersun (Cannes’ French Touch Jury Prize).

This list includes 32 films from 18 different countries. Shaunak Sen’s won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize for World Cinema and the l’Oeil d’Or award for best documentary at Cannes. Another selection was Carla Simon’s Alcarras. which won the Golden Bear award at the 72nd Berlin Film Festival.
