Woke Disney: Ten Families Swear Off Disney Because Of Its Left-leaning Politics
“You cannot promote both innocence and sex simultaneously.”
Fox News Digital received an email from a grandmother and mother in her 60s, who lives outside Boston. She stated that she had given up on Disney years back when the parks were opened up to gay pride activities for families.
She said, “A children’s theme park is not the place for this.” It is impossible to promote both innocence as well as sex simultaneously. This was a clear message to families about the direction they were heading as a company.
She added, “As a Christian grandmother, my job it is to protect, guide, and love.” She stated that she cannot participate in Disney’s “anything Disney” because it forces her to give up all three.
“Parents are deeply disappointed”
Kelly Claggett is a mother and the owner of The Local Farm To Table & Venue in Grove. She shared her frustrations with Fox News Digital. “Parents are so frustrated that we have to fight so hard for our children to learn important values like honesty and integrity.
“The Disney executives must live in a bubble, and they don’t know every mom and dad like them.”
She added that Disney used to provide us with wonderful content that reinforced our good values. My friends and I felt the same when we read about “woke Disney” — clearly, the Disney executives live in a bubble and don’t know every mom and dad as us.
According to Claggett, this has led to “They losing our families’ businesses and the livelihoods of nearly everyone I know.” Claggett stated that her family is actively searching for and monitoring alternatives such as “The Tuttle Twins”, which will fill in the gap left by Disney.
