White House Drops The Mask Mandate Prior To Biden State Of The Union

A White House official stated to Fox News that the White House won’t require anyone who has been vaccinated against COVID-19 face masks on the premises. This change will take effect from Tuesday, March 1.

Just hours before President Biden’s first State of the Union speech before Congress, the requirement will be lifted.

The White House’s decision to remove masks from the House floor will follow a similar one by Congress’ Office of the Attending physician. This is likely to avoid the appearance of masked lawmakers at the event two years into the coronavirus epidemic.
