RM is the First BTS Member to Reach Top 10 With Rising Indigo While SZA Rules Chart for a Second week

SZA’s song “SOS” is back at the top of Billboard 200’s album charts for the second week after debuting at No. Last week, the album had the second-largest stream week for a female artist. The set sold the equivalent of 180,000 albums in the U.S., a drop of 43% but still a strong performance after debuting at the top of the charts last week with 318,000 units.

Taylor Swift’s “Midnights,” is still No. Holiday shopping has resulted in a 31% increase in album sales. Billboard notes that the majority of these sales were vinyl-driven (41% more than usual) as the record contains five vinyl editions. This earned the pop singer the third largest sales week for any vinyl album by 2022. This follows the debut weeks for “Midnights”, which logged 575,000 vinyl copies in its first week, and Harry Styles’ “Harry’s House (182,000).

Metro Boomin’s “Heroes & Villains”, a non-Christmas album, slips from 3-4 on Billboard 200 with 76,000 copies (down 25%), Drake’s and 21 Savages’ “Her Loss” drops 4-6 with 60,000 units. Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” is at No. 10 with 52,000 units.

The other spots are filled by Christmas classics returning to Christmas, with Michael Buble’s “Christmas” remaining at No. 1. 5. With 72,000 units, Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song” rising to No. 7 and the Vince Guaraldi Trio’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” soundtrack landing at No. 8 Mariah Carey’s “Merry Christmas”, sitting at No. 9.

SZA’s presence on the Hot 100 Songs chart was diminished due to holiday buzz, which led to that list being largely filled with Christmas songs. SZA’s “Kill Bill” debuted at No. The singles chart slips to No. 3 last week. 7 was the only “SOS”, song that remained in the top 10 on her second chart-topping album.

Carey’s “All That I Want for Christmas is You” is the top-selling song for an 11 week career. This was spread over the four years. Carey is the second artist and first woman to reach three top-three songs for at least 11 weeks. Carey and Boyz II Men’s song “One Sweet Day”, held the record for longest chart hold, lasting 21 years. In 2017, Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber earned 16 weeks at the top. They are tied for No. 2 in terms of longest-running songs. The songs are tied for the second-longest No.

Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around Christmas Tree is No. 2; Bobby Helms’s “Jingle Bell Rock”, which is a song by Bobby Helms, rises 4-3. Burl Ives’ “A Holly Jolly Christmas”, jumps 5-4. Wham!’s ’80s smash “Last Christmas”, enters the Top Five for the first-time, at No. 5 since its February 8, 1986 debut on the chart.

Andy Williams’ “It’s the Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” goes up 8-6 on the Hot 100. Jose Feliciano’s “Feliz Navidad” also gains a boost from 11-8. Kim Petras’ “Unholy”, Sam Smith, and Kim Petras round out the top 10, despite having previously won the top spot on the Oct. 29,-dated chart.

Swift’s single “Anti-Hero”, from “Midnights”, is also in the Top 10 on the Hot 100 at No. 9 after boasting six chart-topping weeks. Swift’s single rose to the top of Billboard’s Radio Songs Chart for the first time since its release. It also holds onto radio airplay with 79.4million audience impressions.
