Report: Pete Davidson Expects to Leave ‘SNL’ Following this Week

However, Pete Davidson has been hinting that he was ready to leave the show for a while.

He stated to Charlamagne Tha God in February 2020 that he had been “having discussions” about the time to leave the show. However, he wasn’t sure because he didn’t want to “leave too soon.”

Fans speculated that Season 46 might have been Davidson’s last. Davidson told The Hollywood Reporter that he was ready “hang up the jersey”

The rumors were further fuelled by Davidson’s emotional speech at the Season 46 finale.

He said, “I’m very thankful to be here,” at the time. It’s been an honor to learn alongside you guys.
