Experts say that Musk’s misconduct claim won’t stop Twitter from doing business

Insider reports that SpaceX paid $250,000 to a flight attendant in severance compensation after she claimed Musk had sexually harassed and threatened her during her work hours.

According to experts in corporate acquisitions, Musk’s purchase of Twitter will not be affected by a report that Elon Musk, a tech billionaire, settled claims of sexual misconduct by a flight attendant on a private plane in 2016. This was after Musk’s critics demanded that he face penalties.

Insider, a news website, reported Thursday that SpaceX paid $250,000 to a flight attendant in severance. She claimed that Musk had sexually harassed and harassed her as she was working. According to documents obtained from a friend, the website reported that the payment was contingent upon the accuser not bringing any future legal action.

NBC News has not confirmed that Insider’s reporting is true. SpaceX representatives didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Musk refuted the accusations in a series of tweets on Twitter, Thursday night and Friday morning. He called it “utterly false” and said that “it never happened”.

Last month, Musk and Twitter’s board reached a deal to privatize the company in a deal worth $44 billion. With Musk being the majority owner, the deal was completed. According to Bloomberg News, Musk is the world’s richest person. He said that he wants to buy Twitter in order to preserve free speech and suggested loosening Twitter’s rules so that all tweets are preserved, provided they do not violate local laws.
