The couple postponed their nuptials in 2003 after they received too much media attention. They stated that “Due to this excessive media attention surrounding the wedding, we have decided not to hold the date.”

“When we began to seriously consider hiring three separate decoy brides’ at three different locations, it was clear that something was wrong,” the statement continued. “We felt that the spirit of the most joyous day of our lives might be compromised. We felt that what should have been a joyous and sacred day could be spoilt for our families, our friends and our loved ones.

They officially ended things in January 2004.

There was speculation that the couple had rekindled their relationship after she and Alex Rodriguez, a baseball legend, ended their engagement on April 2021.
