Lawrence recently acknowledged that she had lost control of her career due to The Hunger Games’ success.

The actress addressed the controversy by telling The Hollywood Reporter: “That’s definitely not what I meant at all.” I know I’m not the only woman to have ever directed an action movie.

“I meant to emphasize how wonderful it feels. Viola Davis was my partner in this endeavor. I wanted to get past the old myths you hear about… and about the chatter you’d hear about that type of thing. It was my mistake and it turned out wrong. “I had nerves speaking to a living legend.”

She explained that between Hunger Games and winning the Oscar she felt like a commodity. “I had no idea what Katniss Everdeen would do next, or what big movie star will do next.

“When I look back, I see the following years as a kind of loss of control followed by a reaction to try and get back.”
