Audition Tapes From ‘Stranger Things’ Prove That Kids Are Destined for Greatness

Cuba said that she was also impressed by the fact that Cuba, a British actress at the time, completed the audition with an American accent that she could clearly execute. This accent would be her trademark for the next 4 seasons.

Cuba said that he did not show any symptoms. It was obvious that he had the energy and enthusiasm to take on the role.

McLaughlin, now 20 years old, auditioned for the role of Lucas Sinclair when he was 13 years old. His impressive resume convinced the casting director from the beginning.

Caleb was amazing. We knew that he’d seen Broadway before and that he brought a certain energy to the show.

Last but not the least, Matarazzo’s audition clip for the role of Dustin Henderson was the first. He has won the hearts of Netflix viewers.

Cuba said during the interview that Gaten was “not something you could have foreseen or sought out,” He was an amazing surprise. We were not prepared for what he did to our character. It also made us realize how much we had underestimated it until we met him.

She added, “He was kind of the first to create the part other than how it was written from its very beginning.”

It was evident that Cuba’s casting choices paid off as Stranger Things won an Emmy for Outstanding Casting in a Drama Series.

Season 4 has been nominated for 13 Emmy Awards in the future 2022.
