According to Friday’s official, Milley visited the airfield with troops and personnel. He also examined shipment activity. In recent days, the site has seen a lot of activity. There have been a few flights per day but now there are 17 at its maximum capacity.

To protect weapons shipments into Ukraine, the airport’s exact location is kept secret. According to the official, although the Russian military has not yet targeted these shipments after they have entered Ukraine, there are concerns that Russia may begin to target them as it advances in its invasion.

A senior US official said that the US and other NATO member countries have sent Ukraine 17,000 antitank missiles and 2000 stinger antiaircraft missiles so far.
