Angela Lansbury Has Died at 96

She is most well-known for her role in the TV series “Murder, She Wrote”, but Angela was a very accomplished stage star before her television career.

Angela was 96

The British-born actress was nominated for 5 Tony Awards. She starred in shows such as “Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” and “Gypsy.” She was honored with the 6th Tony for Lifetime Achievement.

“Murder” ran 12 seasons on CBS from 1984 to 1996 and was the network’s most popular series. For the role, she received 12 Emmy nominations.

Angela will be remembered for her role as Mrs. Potts, in the animated 1991 film “Beauty and the Beast”.
She survived her 3 children, 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as her brother. RIP
