After Calling Out “Jewish Business People”, Kanye West Reboots from Instagram

A few weeks ago, West was temporarily deplatformed from Twitter and Instagram for using public language that disparages Jewish people. West responded by saying he would purchase Parler. He stated that “in a world where conservative views are considered controversial we must make sure we have the freedom to freely express our opinions.” He initiated the takeover amid claims that Twitter’s content-moderation policies discriminated against right-leaning people.

The Parler proposal by West comes amid Elon Musk, a tech giant, taking over Twitter.

Instagram flagged West’s account with this screenshot of text correspondence between Russell Simmons and the politically outspoken rapper. Simmons is co-founder of hip hop record label Def Jam Recordings. The outlet stated that Simmons asked West to “leave the fight and strategize” in the exchange. West responded by criticizing Jewish businesspeople, echoing the antisemitic remarks he “canceled last week.”

“I’m a little sleepy tonight, but when I get up I’m going to death con 3 on JEWISH POPE People The funny thing about me is that I can’t be Anti Semitic since black people are actually Jew too,” a West tweet from earlier this month said. West claimed that they blocked him out on a podcast. I was blocked by the Jewish media.”

The scandal spread and Adidas JPMorgan and Gap decided not to continue their business relationships with West. Adidas, an athletic brand, announced last week that it would no longer collaborate with West on the joint line of merchandise. According to Adidas, the company “doesn’t tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech.”
