Wimbledon 2022: Rafael Nadal Pulls Out of Tournament Due to Injury

Wimbledon announced his resignation later.

He clearly felt hampered by his 3-6 7-5 7-5 7-6 (10-4) victory over Fritz. He said he wasn’t sure he would be able to win the match. He managed to get the ball to Fritz in the crucial tiebreaker.

“I don’t know what I have.” After the Fritz match, he said that it was clear that something wasn’t right. “I am clearly worried.”

Nadal was chasing his t third Wimbledon championship and his third Grand Slam title. This year, he has already won the Australian Open and the French Open. With 22 Grand Slam titles, he holds the record.

He would have played Novak Djokovic, and Cam Norrie if he had defeated Kyrgios.

Kyrgios instead will be able to take part in the first Grand Slam championship. Although he has won six singles titles in his career, he has never reached the final of a major. He will likely get his first shot on Sunday.
