Oath Keeper Is The 1st Person To Plead Guilty In The Seditious Plot For Jan. 6.

Under the agreement, James agreed to pay $2,000 for damages to Capitol. James must cooperate with federal authorities and testify before grand juries. He will also be required to give interviews and provide an accounting of all his financial assets.

Seditious conspiracy carries a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and three-year supervision release. There are also other fees and penalties. The court was informed by Judge Amit P. Mahta that James’ cooperation could be used to determine his sentencing.

He will be in violation of the agreement if he doesn’t give his full cooperation as per the government.

Rhodes was one of the 10 Oath Keepers accused in the plot to seditious conspiracies. They have pleaded guilty to all charges.

ABC News reached out to James’ lawyers for comment but they did not respond immediately.

According to the indictment James was the leader of a second “stack” of Oath Keepers that broke into the Capitol building from the east side.

He was accused of forcing his way through law enforcement officers trying to protect the Capitol Rotunda and pushing his way past officers that were forced to use chemical spray against him.
