A Pentagon spokesperson said that they are investigating the attack near Erbil.
A spokesperson for the State Department said that the incident was being investigated by both the government of Iraq, and the Kurdish Regional Government.
The spokesperson said that they condemned the “outlandish attack and display violence”.
