Will Smith Speaks Out about Chris Rock Oscars Slap

Will Smith is speaking extensively about slapping Chris Rock during the Academy Awards.

Smith posted a YouTube video answering all the most frequently asked questions. This included why he didn’t apologize to Rock during Rock’s acceptance speech. Smith was slapped by Rock for making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s character in “King Richard” and went on to win Best Actor.

Smith acknowledged that he was “fogged out” by the fact that Rock had not offered an apology. It’s all fuzzy.

Rock was contacted by the “Gemini Man”, but he said he isn’t ready to meet with him. He spent five minutes of the video apologizing to Rock and others — including Rose Rock — during the video.

Smith said, “I would like to apologize to Chris’ mother.” “I saw an interview that Chris’ mother did, and that was one thing about that moment that I didn’t realize. And, you know? I wasn’t thinking, how many people were hurt at that moment,” Smith explained.

Rose said the following in the beginning after the slap. “When Will slapped Chris he slapped us all, but he really hit me.”
