Acadia National Park is a perfect place for summer hikes. This national park is in the northeastern corner of Maine. It covers a large portion of Mount Desert Island and the nearby Schoodic Peninsula.

The easiest mode to reach there is to drive yourself, but you can also catch a bus to Bar Harbor, the gateway town. Then, book a free shuttle around Mount Desert Island.

This Park mainly features miles of rocky shoreline and forested hills. In addition, it has the two most famous trails in the USA.  The Precipice and Beehive are both challenging hikes. However, these trails have easier alternatives (The Champlain North Ridge Trail and the Bowl Trail) to reach the same point.
